Rodion Rybchynskyi: A Balance Between Traders, Processors, and Farmers Is Essential for the Development of Grain Processing
“There must be a clear balance between the interests of different market players: farmers who grow, traders who export, and processors who both process and export. Everyone should have equal access to raw materials, financing, logistics, and other resources,” said Rodion Rybchynskyi, Director of the Union “Millers of Ukraine”, in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, responding to a question about the potential to increase Ukrainian flour exports.
In the interview, Rybchynskyi also discussed:
-
how the full-scale invasion reshaped the grain processing sector and why many enterprises remain in their original locations;
-
the importance of establishing a separate export quota for Ukrainian flour to the EU;
-
what measures the government could take to support the development of the processing industry and its export potential;
-
forecasts for flour production in the 2025/26 marketing season.
