In the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported 543.4 thousand tonnes of grain processing products, up 1.2% from the previous season.
Bran accounted for the largest share of exports. In the 2025/26 season, shipments to foreign markets totalled 365.9 thousand tonnes, representing 67.3% of overall exports. This was 1.7% higher than in the 2024/25 marketing year, when Ukraine exported 359.7 thousand tonnes of bran. The key destinations for Ukrainian bran in 2025/26 were Turkey, which imported 270.3 thousand tonnes, or 73.9% of total shipments; Romania, with 17.6 thousand tonnes, or 4.8%; Syria, with 16.4 thousand tonnes, or 4.5%; Poland, with 13.6 thousand tonnes, or 3.7%; Hungary, with 13.1 thousand tonnes, or 3.6%; and Cyprus, with 12.4 thousand tonnes, or 3.4%.
Ukraine exported 60.3 thousand tonnes of wheat flour in the 2025/26 marketing year, accounting for 11.1% of total grain processing product exports. This was 9.5% below the previous season’s figure of 66.7 thousand tonnes. The main importers of Ukrainian wheat flour were Moldova, with 19.4 thousand tonnes, or 32.2% of total shipments; Palestine, with 10.2 thousand tonnes, or 16.9%; the Czech Republic, with 9.5 thousand tonnes, or 15.7%; Spain, with 6.1 thousand tonnes, or 10.1%; and Israel, with 5.2 thousand tonnes, or 8.7%.
Exports of processed grain from Ukraine reached 59.8 thousand tonnes in 2025/26, representing 11.0% of total shipments. This was 2.4% lower than the 61.3 thousand tonnes exported in the 2024/25 season. The five largest importers in this category were Romania, with 10.3 thousand tonnes, or 17.3%; Türkiye, with 9.3 thousand tonnes, or 15.6%; Germany, with 6.0 thousand tonnes, or 10.0%; Poland, with 5.9 thousand tonnes, or 9.8%; and the United Kingdom, with 3.2 thousand tonnes, or 5.3%.
Ukraine’s exports of pasta and couscous totalled 29.5 thousand tonnes in the 2025/26 season, accounting for 5.4% of total shipments. This represented a 129% increase compared with the 12.9 thousand tonnes exported in the previous season. The main destinations were Germany, with 6.4 thousand tonnes, or 21.6%; Moldova, with 3.0 thousand tonnes, or 10.3%; the United Kingdom, with 2.7 thousand tonnes, or 9.0%; Romania, with 2.6 thousand tonnes, or 8.9%; and Lithuania, with 2.3 thousand tonnes, or 7.8%.
In the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported 26.2 thousand tonnes of groats, meal and pellets, representing 4.8% of total shipments. This was 17.6% below the 31.8 thousand tonnes recorded in the 2024/25 season. The key importers were Moldova, with 7.4 thousand tonnes, or 28.3%; Israel, with 6.0 thousand tonnes, or 22.8%; Romania, with 3.2 thousand tonnes, or 12.3%; Costa Rica, with 2.3 thousand tonnes, or 8.8%; and Lithuania, with 1.2 thousand tonnes, or 4.6%.
Exports of other types of flour from Ukraine amounted to 1.7 thousand tonnes in the 2025/26 season, accounting for 0.3% of total exports. This was 62.4% lower than the 4.4 thousand tonnes exported in the previous marketing year. The five largest importers of these products were Israel, with 729 tonnes, or 43.6%; Moldova, with 397 tonnes, or 23.8%; Poland, with 140 tonnes, or 8.4%; the Czech Republic, with 130 tonnes, or 7.8%; and the Netherlands, with 113 tonnes, or 6.8%.
