Association "Millers of Ukraine” presented domestic commodities at the largest food exhibition in Asia

On August 13, the large-scale popular summer exhibition of food products in Asia - HKTDC Food Exhibition - opened in Hong Kong. The event runs until August 17.

Under support of the FAO and the EBRD on the Ukrainian delegation, the association "Millers of Ukraine" participates in the exhibition work. The organization will present a booth with packaged Ukrainian flour and groats, as well as a number of functional food products based on grain raw materials.

The Ukrainian exhibit presents the products of such leading companies-producers as Bilotserkivkhleboproduct LLC, Novopokrovka Factory of Bakery Products and Barvinkivsky Bakery Products Plant, Roma LLC, Skvyrsky Bakery Products Combine, UkrAgroProduct LLC (TM Khlibodar and Novoukrainka), as well as a group of companies under the trademark Pan&Pan.

Generally, the number of exhibitors at the event totals 1`200, trade buyers — 19`000, and public visitors – more than 100`000.

According to Dmitry Prikhodko, Agricultural Economist at the FAO’s Investment Centre Division, Ukrainian associations of agribusiness, in particular the association "Millers of Ukraine" and Milk Alliance, which participate in the current exhibition, provide significant support to its companies-members in development of new prospective markets for their products. It should be noted that to date, the investments in promotion of exports are the most payback.
